The Toolbox Gets Better Because Users Say What Broke

By Keith Parsons, CWNE #3 · 2026-07-17 · originally on LinkedIn

The WLAN Pros Toolbox keeps getting better for one reason: the people using it tell me what's broken.

Two recent examples. One user caught a Wi-Fi network name that wasn't refreshing on screen. Another caught a graphic sized wrong. Neither is dramatic. Both are exactly the kind of report that makes the tool sharper for the next person who opens it.

The app is free. It runs on iOS, macOS, Android, Windows, and the web. And it improves every time someone takes a minute to say what they saw.

Here is how to tell me.

The easy way is right inside the app. Open About, go to Get in touch, and tap Contact and feedback. That opens the same form you can reach directly at https://lnkd.in/gVd8Duw2. Tell me what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead. That is enough for me to run it down. Would you rather read the code or file a reproducible bug? The whole project lives on GitHub, licensed under AGPL-3.0. Open an issue with the steps to reproduce, or browse the source and see exactly how it works.

I built this for the engineers who use it. What is the first thing you would change?
