There are fantastic ways to use throughput testing with Wi-Fi to AUGMENT other tests. If you KNOW what you are doing they can add insight - but as a 'stand-alone' way to judge the health of your Wi-Fi, throughput tests tend to mislead at best. Yet we ALL use them... and our Customers TRUST them... and thus those of us who try to support Wi-Fi in the enterprise will have a long and fruitful careers...
