Three companies... all working together for the Wireless LAN Community produced a pretty cool thing for practitioners in our field.
Adrian Granados, the guy who has brought us the fantastic Wi-Fi Explorer tool, also has a packet capture software for macOS called AirTool2 - that has been the gold standard in simple, easy-to-use interface for capturing Wi-Fi frames. Either from a Macbook's internal Wi-Fi NIC, or from remote WLAN Pi sensors, or from Raspberry Pi sensors...
Now coupled with Oscium's Nomad that was designed to give Hamina's OnSite software a way to collect Wi-Fi data streams from FOUR on-board Wi-Fi NICs while completing validation surveys.
This Nomad can now also be used to collect packet captures on ALL FOUR NICs simultaneously!
What a wonderful tool to track Wi-Fi clients as they roam between access points.
We live in the future.
